The backseat area of the Uly has no peer -- maybe a big fat Wing? My wife can hide from me back there.

The Duc Multi will out handle the Uly on pavement? Given equal riders, blah, blah, blah, ad nauseum, nope, won't happen.

Same here; my wife loves the Uly. She says that there is no comparison with my FJ, and it doesn't have a bad pillion for a sport tourer. Have to agree with Bigdaddy on the Duck handling issue as well, I was tempted by the Duck when I was looking and one ride will tell you different.

I had the same experience. There is nothing more unnerving than to look in the mirrors and NOT see your passenger!

I love mine and it is still completely stock. I have no snatchyness in the drivetrain at low rpms and have ridden it across Canada 2 up. My lady loved it and had high praises for the room and comfort of the rear part of the seat. Baggage was more than adaquate and I have had no problems other than it has stopped running a few times but if you cycle the kill switch it will start running again and off you go. I had to have the kickstand recall done but other than that it is the best bike I have ever owned and I have had over 30 bikes. Give one a test ride and you will be bitten.

JUST GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE MINE!
Have owned lots of bikes & it is the most enjoyable in all conditions!
I've had faster bikes.
Cooler bikes.
Better dirt bikes.
Lighter bikes.
Heavier bikes.
But none of them made me smile ALL the time like the ULY! PERIOD!

My other bike is a big 'ol Road King. I got the wife on the Uly and she was laughing out loud she liked it so much. She kept on laughing for the whole ride.

The 'King is better for long distance rides, but the Uly is better for everything else. I love it.

Thunderbox,

Sent you a PM. Your issue is not normal and is completely fixable.

Black Sheep; take a Uly for a test ride. If you like it, then buy one (I recommend the sexier ORANGE variant). If you don't like it, find a good Psychotherapist.

Buell Ulysses rocks! Over the past 32 years I've owned and ridden a variety of cycles. The Buell brings back a new level of riding enjoyment I haven't had in a number of years. Is it perfect? By no means, but, try finding a cycle that is.

I love my ULY but that XR 1200 Harley that should start showing up next year (hopefully) sure looks sweet.

I will have a second bike. She has everything else. The bike question is not up for debate!

Oh, I loved reading this post...I have a tshirt that says 'Black" and below it is a picture of a sheep. Gets lots of laughs. Ride with it often!
