Anyone have any luck locating a tail bag that will slip on over the back rest and still allow you fold down for solo and fold up for two up riding. I would like to take off all the luggage and brackets, but I do need a little storage. | ||

Treadmarks, I've used my VROD bag -- HD product -- and it's a perfect fit. It looks good, gives decent amount of storage. I've only used it in the up position, so running while the rest is down is an unknown. The downside is the zipper is positioned more towards the bottom so initial opening can cause a flood of goods falling out (that only happens the first time and you learn.) I use it when the wife wants to go for a afternoon ride and she needs to carry her 'stuff.' G2 | ||

Howdy! I have a T-Bags "Stowaway" on my Triple Tail. When it is empty or nearly empty, it collapses into a nice compact block that is about 10" X 11" wide X 5" thick. When it is collapsed, it holds a T-Shirt to clean plastic, Aerostich waterproof glove covers and waterproof boot covers, a lithium LED flashlight and its own rain cover. It could hold a bit more while collapsed if desired. The Web Site is down right now, but here is the Link: http://www.t-bags.com/ When the bag is expanded it is about 10" front to back, 11" wide and 17" tall. It also has four outside compartments. In addition, it has two more zippered compartments. One is for the Rain Cover and the other zippered compartment contains straps that allow it to be used as a back pack. The downside to a T-Bag on the back of the Triple Tail is blockage of the tail light and brake light on the bike. I stopped off at the Buell factory about a month ago and showed an engineer this problem. There might be an optional light duty tail rack in the future, that will accommodate T-Bags that are mounted onto the back side of the Triple Tail. Such a rack will not be up as high as the rack that mounts a Tail-Trunk. If all else fails I can make a rack that mounts to the factory provided attachment points. I'll give Buell some time to see if they come up with something that suits my needs. In the meantime, I mounted my T-Bag to the front side of the Triple Tail. I then leave the Triple Tail extended back to the rear. Next year I will either buy or build a Tail Rack. The rack will allow me to put the T-Bag on the back side of the Triple Tail. Good Luck! | ||

The T-Bags seem to be a good product. I got the "EZ-T" and it slipped on like it was made for the triple tail. I use a bungee cord down around the bottom of the taillight instead of the string ties. Hook it so the hook ends are toward the inside and it won't scratch the grabrails. The bungee also stretches so you can lift the bag and still use the triple tail latch. Works in both the up and down positions and only rests lightly on the tail section when loaded. I may add some clear contact film to the tail section to make sure it won't scuff. Thanks for the ideas guys. The Ventura bag looks pretty cool. I really like the way the Uly looks without the bags and hardware on it. Hell, I'd like to lose the dingleberries hanging off the tail light too.  But like someone said, ya gotta have something for the wife to carry her stuff in. So until I decide on a slip on, the top box will have to stay. | ||
