I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust for my Uly but I'm way confused about fitment. What fits? Is the Buell Race exhaust the same across all XB models? Is there a 12 specific model? Do I need one from a specific year range? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

If you go here: http://www.americansportbike.com/ and click on "The Long Awaited XB Exhaust Shootout", it should get you started. |

The Buell race exhaust is NOT the same for all models. If you buy the wrong one, it will rub slightly on your belt tensioner pully. If you are looking for a 12 race kit for the Uly, it is no longer officially available. I can track one down for you though if you are specifically looking for it. Otherwise, there is a good aftermarket selection of pipes. Keep in mind that if you change your intake/exhaust you should have your bike dyno tuned with direct link to get proper performance and just to be safe. I can get the Buell, Micron, Jardine, and Drummer exhausts for you. As a BadWeb sponsor, I give a 10% discount on all parts. I only sell the Drummer at full retail, though, because I refuse to undercut Kevin. He does awesome work and I won't compete with him on price. I do, however have mufflers to send in to be modified, so you wouldn't have to send in a core until I shipped out your Drummer to you. |

Yes Josh is correct, if you put the early race kit on your 05+ XB, your pulley will make a tiny clearancing mark. Ask me how I know. --Sean |

Look seriously at the Special O.P.S muffler more than happy with mine. |

I really liked the Special OPS muffler. It definitely sounded better than the race muffler that I am currently running. I kinda wish I would have had Odie modify my Special Ops to remove the valve and then just bought the race ecm and air filter. |

Well, I'd really like to find either a stock exhaust to modify/send in for modification or find an aftermarket exhaust that fits. In any event I want to retain a stock exhaust in case I decide to switch back to stealth mode. So that being the case, do I need to find a '05 or newer XB12 exhaust to be sure it fits??? |
