I'm electrically challenged...can i ask for some advice on where to grab power...
Installing Symtec heated grips tonight.
Which wire is recommended to grab power? Instructions call for tapping into headlight, dashlight, etc. I'm concerned if I tap into the cigarette power outlet i could meltdown when running my heated vest at the same time.

I plan to hardwire:
1. heated grips
2. radar detector
3. GPS

To be powered off dash outlet:
1. heated vest
2. or cell phone to charge when needed

thanks!

For my heated grips I tapped into the power from the rear lighter plug. I used it because it is turned off with the key. It has worked well so far.
