Anyone have a picture they'd like to post. I've seen barn doors, but I'm looking for something a little more subtle. I'd like to see one and can't find a picture. (C'mon Chad, I know you got one on your rig!) |

Don't know how tall you are, but I will try and post a pic of my Uly with the laminar lip. Pretty low-profil, and at 6'-0" with a fairly long torso it transformed the bike! |

http://rrodyssey.blogspot.com/2006/03/new-windscreen.html Totally transformed the bike. All day riding at highway speed is now no problem. (Message edited by roadrailer on September 05, 2006) |

So Roadrailer and Birdmans are the same windscreen? I am totally interested in a screen for the same purpose as Roadrailers blog was saying. If one of you guys have a link to that same ws please post. I would like one that is smoked instead of black all the way through. This one from zerogravity doesnt have much of a lip. I wonder if that lip is better over the 1 inch taller performance.

The Cee Bailey's screen comes in a variety of tints. http://www.ceebaileys.com/buell/ulyssesws1.html |

Yes, they are the same. I have a +4-inch Cee Bailey's as well. (they make a +4.5 now and not a +4) I love the screens and depending upon the weather I can choose which one I want. I run stock at 100 degrees and above and the +2.5 from 70 degrees and up. When it gets a little cooler I like the +4. I bought one of the first screens that Cee Bailey's made for the Uly and I am one of the reasons that they added that little black dot. You can see what happened here. http://southwestrides.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=678&highlight=bailey |

Here's one: http://www.pbase.com/stevenknapp/image/59829572 You're welcome to browse that site to look at the picts, none of the screen itself, but you will see the bike a few times. The CB 2.5 is a great screen IMHO. Good improvement in protection but no barn-door by any means. |

Hey Bird, are those handguard extensions? |

I'm also using the CB +2.5 with good results. It seems to actually cause a little more noise in the helmet over the stock shield, but not really what I'd call buffeting. The upside is that I can cruise the highway at 85 without feeling like I'm about to be pulled off by the wind resistance. I couldn't really do long, higher speed runs with the stock shield w/o getting fatigued. A worthwhile trade-off IMHO. For the record, I'm about 5'10", 31" inseam. |

I'm 5'10" and have had similar experiences as Jeff ("he upside is that I can cruise the highway at 85 without feeling like I'm about to be pulled off by the wind resistance. I couldn't really do long, higher speed runs with the stock shield w/o getting fatigued.") but have not noticed the noise increase. |

Yeah, wind noise probably depends on what helmet you're using. It's noticeable with my HJC CL-12, not so much with my Arai Signet. I should clarify that I'm nit-picking, and the "extra" wind noise is minimal. |

I have the CB 4.5 over and love it. I do agree with the noise "depends on what helmet you're using" comment. I get a huge amount of "booming" in my Shoei RF and nearly none in my Schuberth C2. The C2 is more enclosed on the bottom and less prone the the noise. fwiw ymmv |

My Cee Baileys shield flew off and almost took my head off. It had the dot and I was traveling at 68 mph on a 70 mph freeway. Be careful. |

I have the +2.5 and it has been the best $100 I've spent on my Uly. I have had mine up to 120mph and ride slab everyday at 80mph to and from work without any issues. I have had it on since about January. |

Craven, I did not really want to hear that but thanks for sharing. My 4-inch makes me nervous in high wind.... |

Scum, Please post pics when it comes in. I had one ordered and pulled the plug. I was afraid that it would be just too much black. I'm glad someone else had the same idea. |

Could you guys with the Cee Bailey's post your height and inseam? I'm 6'0 with a 32 inseam and longer torso. I want to get a little bigger windshield now that the cold mornings are coming and I'm not sure if I should go with the 2.5 or 4.5. I love the clean air of the stock shield, but would like more protection/less air pressure for winter and highway riding. I really want to avoid buffeting if at all posible. Joel |

I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam. Air stream hits me just below helmet level with the C.B. +2.5. No buffeting at all. I have about 3K miles with the C.B. and love it. I highly recommend this shield. The second picture down shows the wind protection area pretty well. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/171653.html?1138483732 BTW I recently put some Touratech handguard extensions on my bike and surprisingly they deflect quite a bit of airflow off your lower arms as well. Well worth the $. (Message edited by bosh on September 12, 2006) |

"BTW I recently put some Touratech handguard extensions on my bike and surprisingly they deflect quite a bit of airflow off your lower arms as well. Well worth the $." Mine are all ready in the mail. Ordered them on Saturday. Should have them by Friday. Just wish the handlebar bag wasn't on backorder. Thanks, Joel |

Does anyone make a stock dimensioned windshield in black or dark tint to replace the clear? I don't want to paint mine, I'd just like to change it; but keep the wind and turbulence characteristics the same. I think it would really look good on my orange Uly along with a black Jet Hot coated exhaust. (Hopefully this winter) |
