Not enough of a ground plane to transmit far on a motorcycle. plus there is so much noise on Ch 19 these days.

I have Sirius Satellite Radio on my Uly and all my riding buddies use 900mhz helmet Communicators by Collett. VOX transmit and we use them when we ride four wheelers also. I can listen to my Music and when someone talks it lowers the volumne of the music so you can hear.

Breaker-Breaker Pso…
I just returned from a four day 1200 mile ride from Dallas to Eureka Springs Ark. To Hot Springs and back. I rode with several Electraglides, all with CB’s. They communicate thru channel 22 about gas stops, restaurants, routes, etc. Before we left I purchased a 5 watt CB + Weather radio from Radio Shack it has a Ni-Cad 18 hour battery pack (rechargeable). I put it in my Buell tank bag with the antenna sticking out at the back between the zipper heads, used an ear-peace with a mike clipped to my chin strap that I could actuate with my left hand. It was inexpensive, worked well, and came in handy several times.
