Having now ridden fast/slow/in the rain I'm happy with the 16"

Thanks to CeeBailey, the screen arrived in Melbourne Australia unmarked, it was well packed and included a small spray bottle of plastic cleaner with instructions for product care, nice touch!

As I've posted previously the 16" works very well for me but it's a combination of my 2" lowered seat, my 6' height and my posture. There's very little turbulence behind the screen, in fact in the rain there is a tendency for droplets off my helmet chin piece to drift forward and land on the base of the inside of the screen?

As seen by my arrows the rain/air seems to flow directly outwards rather than up, lessening the turbulence at the top of the screen and behind it, there appears to be low pressure between the rider and the screen but I'm yet to find a downside! My passenger has said she now finds it more comfortable!

There is a tendency to ride faster as there is less buffeting and we can now hear the radio set between Nat and I! : )

I had to modify my 16 and it did not come with those arrows.

I'd put some braces on the 16" as EG97 has previously posted or your shield could look like mine after 5,000 miles.

Do you have a side profile picture of that
wind screen on the bike?

Sorry, after I couldn't get any kind of refund from CeeBaileys, it went in the garbage.

Bienhoabob,
Try a windshield from Slipstreamer. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/212532.html
You can get one off Ebay for around 85 bucks and that's with the hardware. I'm sure you are torqued at CeeBaileys for not standing behind their piss poor ULY windshield. No piece of plastic can rattle like that without eventually cracking. Maybe Parabellum has come up with something by now. Gamdh was working with Parabellum on this but haven't heard anything for awhile. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/210736.html#POST724680
The modified CeeBailey that I use is darn near perfect for me but I'd rather have it the shape of the Hellfire (if only the Hellfire was a couple of inches taller). It was 16" above the crossbar of the handlebar and the modded CB is 18 which I feel is better for my height( 6'1/2" ).

The screen doesn't oscillate other than at idle, then it's not flexxing at a specific line, I'm happy with it's strength!

What speed and what happened when the screen broke?

EG97, Thanks, I've been watching your posts with great interest. I currently have a larminar lip on the way from a BWB member. I will play the waiting game and watch ebay as suggested.

Brat, speeds on my last trip were between 80-85, couple runs up to 95. I never noticed any flexing above idle either. Hopefully I just got a bad one, but I doubt it.

Brat,
I'd be surprised if it doesn't eventually break. It'll be just like Bienhoabob's and break just above or start from the top mounting screw holes. It's not so much the flexing from speed that takes its toll but the rattling back and forth at idle. Of course it will probably fail at the worst possible time, at high speed while you are passing a semi. Those side gusts twist and tear. When acrylic breaks it is as sharp as a knife along the fracture. Be careful. You can bet that Bienhoabob is thankful that his snapped off windshield didn't sever his neck. Not trying to scare you ( too much anyway ).
