Hi guys. New here, loving my Uly at 1000k.
What's the collective wisdom on the rear footpegs rubbing against the luggage -- they are grinding a groove in my luggage when the pegs are folded against the frame. All i can think of at the moment is to loosen/readjust luggage brackets or bust out the grinding wheel on the pegs? Seems stoopid to have to leave the rear pegs out all the time. Design issue?

If it bugged me, I'd take a file to the pegs and make sure that they have 1/8"-1/4" clearance, but I just leave the pegs down. Then again, I usually have a passenger on the back. : )

Mine have clearance.

I'd loosen the mounting brackets for the luggage and then tighten 'em again. If that still doesn't help, I'd go back to a dealership and see about new brackets/luggage. Apparently, not all luggage brackets was created equal.

I'd not gap the pegs/brackets then cinch them down. I'd think this'd be stressing something.

The side brackets are static no adjustment available. You could use some shims, I guess, for the most minor of adjustments.

My left side bracket is a perfect fit. The right side isn't (read as wasn't) even close to a fit. The bottom attachment point was at least 3/4 of an inch off. Dremel adjustment 'made' it fit. Right side peg does brush the bag.

Mine have plenty of clearance also. They should not rub in the up position. Get the brackets replaced.

Same issue with the right side bag on mine as well. Must have a problem with the jig for the right side bracket. Little bit of filing gave me the necessary clearance.

The only issue i have is my girlfriend's comments that she can't get her feet in a comfortable position when the bags are on, anyone else got that problem, Natalie seems to have small feet?

Yeah, my right side bag mount met the grinded and drill press. It fits now. I guess I will have to check the clearance of my pegs. I haven't noticed anything, as I usually have a passenger on there all the time.

Right side bracket production obviously had some QC issues. If you didn't put your own on I guess you wouldn't be aware though.

I had no trouble putting the right side bracket on mine. It was the left side that gave me trouble. Some of the powdercoating fouled the threads on the footpeg bracket, and I had to run a tap in the hole to clean it out. Otherwise, it was a piece of cake.
My footpegs don't hit the bags, either.
Guess I got good brackets.

My wife has no issues, but she does have very, very small feet.
