My Buell-In summary…
4 wks ago with 8K miles on odometer, the stator and battery went. Bike was taken in and repairs were made – great! Here I am now 4 wks later and the stator and battery went again, along with other electrical glitches. Harley’s Roadside Service took at least 10 phone calls and 4.5 hrs. to get a tow truck to me on the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut. In addition to the 10 phone calls I made, Harley’s automated system called me at least 5 times checking to see if I had been picked up, and when I said no, I was transferred to a customer service person who acted as if this was my first call to him. I had to continually repeat all of my information all the way down to my home phone number. So much for Harley’s 45 minute ETA to get the tow truck to me. I’ve never seen such horrible roadside service before. If this is not bad enough the dealer said he can’t get to the bike until the 2nd week of Sept. Sucks to be me. Also, my 2nd fan sounds like it is about to die. And let’s not forget my kickstand is about to break. I am really starting to regret this purchase and I can’t in good faith recommend this brand to any of my friends at this time. It’s a shame because I really do like the bike.

Harley doesn't own tow trucks and has to subcontract out this service. They were trying to do the best they can but Murphy's Law took over. My advice is to take a chill pill and chalk it up to your turn in the barrel and fodder for a good story.

Did they change the voltage regulator when the stator and battery went out the first time?
If not I've got a pretty good idea where the problem might be.

Your kickstand is about to break? is the bolt bent? just curious about the indications.

Man .....talk about an ugly day! The one bright spot is that you did your sitting and waiting in a gorgeous place on a gorgeous day.

I don't want to upset any apple carts, but it'd be a cinch to get all your problems straightened out and restore your confidence.

The bike is in CT? Keep us posted, I'm betting they can get you fixed up pronto.
