So I finally did it. I bought a left over 06 Uly in Black. It's a great bike so far. The tranny is smooth as butter now...the engine is slowly breaking in..and the bike is darn comfy. I have only had one oopsy so far... And that's my dumb ass fault. I tried moving it around with flip flops on after washing it. Damn the bike is tall..even with my 32" inseam. I ended up getting the bike with bags OTD for $11,800 first oil change for free, plus a bunch of Buell shirts and bags and stuff. All in all, the dealer rocked and it was a very pleasant experience. He's some crappy pics (it was over cast and the work camera stinks...) Oh and the bags are on order... The first upgrades on my list are the taller wind screen, the right side air scoop and possibly the TT oil filter protector/front protector. |

Congratulations on the new bike! Too bad it is of the slower black variety. |

congrats man, I still LOVE mine. I have the cee bailey +14 and it takes the wind off my chest very well. There is a fair amount of buffeting around my helmet but it is tolerable. By the by I am 6'6" w 36" inseam. I also bought odies heat shield to keep my buns from roasting. |

Congrats! I should be getting mine in a few weeks after I get home. I can't wait! I'm getting a black '06 with bags too. |

I am thinking the CeeBailey Tall might be a bit too much. All I would like is for the wind to hit me at the top of my shoulders, so my helmets in clean air. Right now, I get the wind blast right in my chest. I may have to play around with it for bit to find the best shield for me. Can't wait to get out of work and go riding for a bit... |

WELCOME and CONGRATS also. In addition to the bags and windscreen, get some muscle relaxers for the grin that becomes a near permanent fixture on you face once you start riding these things. |

For me it blocks just enough wind to make the Uly comfortable for high-speed riding, without feeling like I'm sitting behind a barn door. |

I have the CB 4.5 over (close to the Buell Tall screen). I'm 6'4" and it makes it perfect for everyday riding. |

Nice Bike!! It looks just like mine Some of us like the Laminar Lip; at my 5-9 height it helps a lot. |

If you want a Laminar Lip and a back-up stock shield, I'll make you a deal... |

I wonder how fast a RED Uly would be. Actually from a physics point I guess Blue or Violet is technically a faster more energetic color. Whatever ! |

Sweet man I just got mine on the 5th so I understand how excited you are. Its funny I dont have a urge to modify anything on this bike except maybe get a different clutch lever, one without so much reach. I am really kind of beating it hard for having less then 1000 miles. But I am trying the 'motoman' method and hoping it will work well. Awesome bike congrats. Good color choice by the way. |
