I just bought a Ulysses, having taken the better part of 2 years to decide to finally let go of the S2. Man, I hate to get rid of the S2 (75K miles, 3 cross-country trips). Anyway, I've spent the last few hours looking through the posts and have some idea of the mostly-minor problems people have had with their Ulysses. What should I make sure the dealer does before I take delivery of mine? |

1. Make sure there is oil in the swing arm. 2. Read the owner's manual for suspension setup and use the advised settings per your gross rider weight. At least for the first few rides. 3. Set tire pressures. Note for you: Don't store any candy below the seat; gets really hot back there. Enjoy! |

Fuel pump may need replacing. Mine died at 2000 miles. Have them check it at your 3000 mile service unless you have problems earlier (mine stalled while riding at RPM/Speed). Sidestand recall. Fan failure (slight possibility, low incidence). Timing set and TPS reset (some have had improperly set timing and have needed the TPS reset right from the start. |

Make sure they set the suspension up for you. And congrats on the new bike! |

I just picked mine up last wednesday & am grinning from ear to ear. Just this afternoon i was out fooling around (kept finding myself just standing there staring!)with this amazing package & found that when my dealer set up my suspension for 90 kg rider, they set the rear preload to 'clicks' rather than 'turns' (2 clicks per turn). Watch out for this - even though i'm taking it real easy familiarizing myself with the beast i noticed an improvement in handling. Havent had a chance to check other susp. settings but will do soon. Like me, enjoy ! Matt |

Full tank of gas and a gas gift card for say 20 gallons? Just get on the bike and ride, the rest will come up in it's own good time! |
