Have any of you guys had this done?
I was told that the dealerships received this a few weeks ago....The same day they received it I dropped into my local dealer....I was told that I would be contacted as soon as the new TPS arrived....I have still heard nothing... I went by today and they said that No ordering info for the parts had been released by the mothership for the recall as of yet.... I will give them one more week then I guess I will get in touch with customer service.

Jeff

I haven't heard anything about a TPS recall, and I'm guessing nobody else here has either...

Check with your dealer.....100% a recall.
When I was told about I went to the dealer that very day and they pulled it up on the computer ... seems like he also had a fax in his hand about it.

Has been about 3 weeks now

Court or anyone else care to confirm this one? I don't see anything listed over in the tech forum, and with the amount of conversation we have around here about what people think should be a recall, I can't believe that an active one slipped by without anyone knowing...

Jeff, any chance you got an ID # on that recall?

Well, that would be 3 recalls that I have heard about the ULY in a week or so. Tall windscreen, side stand and now TPS. If the TPS is true, too bad I didn't wait to install the Drummer and ECM, I could have saved $30.

The NHTSA doesn't have anything in their database for this. The only recalls on file are the two previously discussed (Kickstand and Windshield.)

Jeff, is it possible there is some confusion between the scheduled TPS RESET and a TPS RECALL?

-Sean

P.S. Who is the dealer? Maybe they can clear this up for us.

The NHSTA wouldn't have a TPS recall listed if it isn't safety related. We are very lucky that Buell issues recalls on things other than safety. Most companies can't be bothered to do that. I don't know of another single one that does and I deal with them all the time.

My dealer, HD/Buell of Youngstown, just called me back to confirm that they did a VIN check and the sidestand recall doesn't apply to my 12x, as it came from the factory with the updated version. They also confirmed that, not counting the windshield recall, there are no other recalls out on the standard XB12X.

I just got the very same story (confirmed) today at my dealer. My bike is a January build date.

That said, they did do a TPS reset as part of the 5K service and the bike not runs noticeably better. Dunno if it's different tho.

I can't find any about a TPS RECALL.
There was a running change in the parts but it is not a recall

I have not seen a recall on the TPS, but a couple of weeks ago I did see a service tip concerning a running change in Throttle Body part numbers. The new TB uses a different P/N Throttle Position Sensor, so if a Tech need to replace a faulty TPS he will need to check the TB to ensure the correct P/N. ... Terry

Jeff,
It seems your dealer is confused. A new part number does not a recall make.

The TPS has been upgraded, and it is not Retrofit, so the 07 upgraded tps doesn't work for your 06 or later bike, it's all in the dealer forms your dealer shoulda got
