I always thought that intake was not enough after having two xb's with the older ram style intake.   Bosezone Posted on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 - 07:20 pm:        Does the open air box give up a little bottom end for the top end? I cut a piece of Lexan from the hardware store and cut it out to match the air filter top and secured it to the air filter. I then wedged a piece of foam between the filter top and the the airbox cover. This was all just to test the open air box idea with the race kit I installed a while back. I found I lost a bit of bottom end and gained some top end. Nice at full honk but didn't like the low end loss.
