I just have to start this, first please only positive things you like about your Uly. I rode 250 + miles yesterday with Fiery, our ride started in pouring rain, wind and ended dry, warm. First THANKS to Erik and all who designed/built the Ulysses. Every ride on the Uly brings out the complete package it is. I enjoy it. And when you do a 200+ day ride you notice "things". I rode interstate, 2-lane, county, and gravel roads yesterday. The bike just does it all good. On curvey roads you just hang off and it corners, grab some throttle and off you go! I was a little cautious on the gravel initially, but having extensive dirt bike riding experience, I felt comfortable and caught myself well above the limit on gravel. Even standing on the pegs at speed is good. Rider protection- like I started in the rain, for a non-faired bike, the protection is as good as some "full-faired" bikes I've owned. Everything you say about your XB12X is also true about my XB12R. I'm very happy with the product as a whole, and am considering a Uly purchase based on the merits of the bike I already own. | ||

Some great things about the ULY ... 1. I can comfortably strap a shotgun and a rifle onto my Uly and head out to the hills for some hunting (Don't freak out left wing weenies!  )   2. The Large saddle bags will hold lots of ammo and a few handguns! 3. I can hold my own against the dirt bikes on the back roads 4. It out-corners and out-accelerates my friends Ducati on the paved roads 5. It is American 6. It is black 7. It is unique 8. I never have to wash it because it still looks good when it is dirty! |
