Articles like that will soon enlighten the world to what a few of us already know. I'm on my 3rd set. Went through two on my FJR and now have them on my Uly.

Excellent tire!!

I have them on the Uly, but had to buy a second rear tire within 500 miles because the tread started to split and Pirelli will not back their product. "Too many miles" 50,000+ miles on Dunlops without a defect and my first Pirelli belly ups as a lemon. The second tire seams to be holding up, but I have not two-up with gear on a hot day on it like I did when the first tire split.

Also the wet weather conditions do not match the D616 or D205 Dunlops. On tar strips or painted lines the tires loose tractions like a Bias ply tire. Mileage is better, but do not let anyone make you believe it is not at a cost.
