Anyone know if there is a vendor making tank/engine guards for the Uly?

TourTech has the pipe guard (as always on back order), but we are wanting something to protect the tank/engine in the case of a tip over.

Thanks

That is what the frame "pucks" are for. Although, there is a company that makes a guard for stunting that protects even better. It looks pretty good on the Uly it looks very utilitarian. I can't remember the name but I found it from a posting here, so someone will likely chime in.

I also requested that information, but the way he answered a previous question abouts the light, leads me to think he has a bit of an attitude issue.

That auction smells of a scam. They get you to use the buy it now option and then require an immediate down payment of 3 or 4 hundred dollars and blam they're gone.

I've been looking into this ( engine guards) and have a couple of ideas to throw past folks here.

if you look at the left side of the bike, there's a 'subframe' piece that holds up the oil cooler - 2 small bolts up front, and solid linkage rearwards down the LHS to a frame mount point. the same mount points are duplicated on both sides of the bike for the plastic that ducts airflow through the cylinder webbing, so l/r would be nearly symetrical. How well do you guys think a tubular cage mounted to THOSE points, plus maybe the riders footpeg mount bolts would work ? lateral bar for strength across the front, fairly high up where it wont interfere with the exhaust, or front wheel/fender?

just looking for input. For myself, I figure all I need is some foot-guards around the brake & shift levers, but....
