I just did a TPS reset with my VDSTS software. When my throttle was completely closed (I could feel the butterfly valve sticking, so I know it was closed), the TPS voltage was 0.58V. The instructions with the software said that if did not read close to 0.01 volts, the TP sensor is broken. However, my bike runs fine. Has anybody else got minimum TPS voltages of a similar value? The service manual does not mention anything about a minimum voltage level. It simply says to back off the throttle adjustment until the voltage stops decreasing, and then go 1 more turn. Do I need to replace my TP sensor?

OK ... I am the forums chief dumba$$ ... I re-read the instructions, and it said that the variation in the TPS voltage when you force the throttle closed should be within .01V. It does NOT say that the voltage should be .01V. I answered my own question.

You should use throttle "Pos" not throttle "volt" when you do the TPS reset.

Set it to 0 degrees when completely closed.
