Anyone fit a ventura rack to a Uly with the side bags? I'd like to go with this option to get a little more flexibility in packing options than the top box provides. Don't know if the racks are compatible. Kurt | ||

If all you want is to fit the large bags, they fit over the triple tail very nicely. | ||

If all you want is to fit the large bags, they fit over the triple tail very nicely. Ditto - we used the Ventura bag until our hardbags came in. It's a nice that you can use it as a 4th bag when riding solo if needed. | ||

Thanks. The bag looks convenient but I'm actually most interested in having the rack behind the passenger to strap tent poles, folding chairs etc. Anything that won't fit in the side cases. | ||

Try emailing the manufacturer dold@ventura-bike.com they are very helpful. There are pictures on their website of the rack fitted to a Ulysses. It may be possible to get an idea from the pictures as well. | ||

I've got one we use, the only problem is it drops down over the tail light when used with a pillion, trying to make a light weight guard to lift it! | ||

I have fitted the Ventura rack so I can have two large bags one on this rack and one on the triple tail. It works fine. What I can tell you is that the rack mounts using the four screws that secure the grab handle assembly. I don't know if the side bags use the same mounting points so you may not be able to use both. |
