Dave, good to meet you yesterday and thanks very much for letting me take the Uly for a spin. I'll try to get back and post a more detailed write up of my impressions later on, short on time. Color me impressed, though, very nice bike. I'll have to wait and see on next w/e. Hope to make it over sunday but not sure yet. L8r,

Well its one week before the big ride and things are looking pretty good up this way,the snow is all gone and the grass is getting green. We're having a good amount of rain thats washing the salt off the roads. So I was hoping to meet the group in Pembine Wi at the junction of 141 and 8 so I could show you the backroads up to Iron Mountain. It's a great road to take with some great curves(I know I've crashed there before!)
All I need is a time to meet.
Hey Swampy let me know what time you are getting into town on the 5th and we'll meet and maybe get in a ride! |

I did the Kettle Morane scenic drive south last week. It was nice.
If the group is running the slab north, I might do that instead to Appleton.
Just got back from GA on the bike, ran 800+ in one day and felt great getting off the bike. Amazing. |

Kreature, I am not sure what time we will be in. Probably best to give you a call once we get in, that way no one is waiting on anyone else. Or maybe Swampy can chime in here and give an estimate of arrival time. |

I'm planning to shoot up 12 to Lake Geneva, then 120 north of East Troy. Probably get there early, 9:30 or so. |

Well the "Dave's ride your Uly to the U.P." is under way.
Yesterday Mike from Indiana picked up his new Uly. He came up a day early to put a few break in miles on it. It comes into the shop today for an oil change. He only had it for an hour and already got pulled over for weaving in the road. He was getting the feel for the new bike. Didn't know there was an unmarked cop about a mile behind him. He got off with a warning after explaining he just picked it up and showing the officer that it only had 51 miles on it.
He rode along on the Weds BRAG ride last night and met some of the Appleton area Buell(and other brand) riders.
Today it kicks into 2nd gear with with more riders coming to Appleton. |
