I use it and it seems to work ok in my ULY. Anybody else use this gas/ethanol mixture? It's cheaper in the midwest than premium but does have a lower octane rating. Gas is high enough without paying a premium for premium when gasahol will do.

Ethanol raises octane. I'm familar with three "blends"....

- Normal gas gets some ethanol as part of oxygenated fuel.
- In Iowa you could get 10% ethanol gas, it was 89 octane, and often cheaper than 87.
- E85, which can't be used in normal vehicles.

Which one are you thinking about?

10% blend. I use it in all my vehicles.

I use it also and I find the mileage about the same. No apparent difference. I do get a break on the price as the ethanol blend has higher octane like super but has the same price as regular. The owners manual recommends ethanol blended fuel as long as it is not more than 10%.

stickers on gas pumps in teh greater chicago area for 4 or 5 years have stated that the fuel may contain as much as 10% ethanol

once I replaced some iffy carb gaskets in my (non-Buell) bike, no problems
