Is there any known way to include an oil temperature gauge on my uly? All the talk about the fan dying has got me paranoid about engine overheating.

I have looked into the oil temp gauge thing quite a bit and the best gauge setup I have found is at this site. http://www.motosens.com/usa/elef_a.htm

Flat waterproof and built to last. Easy install on the Uly all you have to know is what is the thread size of the drain plug.

Thanks! The gauges look real nice. Have you installed this on your uly? If so, can you show me a pic? I would like to see how you mounted the gauge.

No I haven't I just found them last week and I am ordering one to mount. I think I can put it right on the side of the instrument cluster and maybe a voltage gauge on the other side. These are the best ones I have found beyond a doubt. I will order them this week as I want them for the big trip I'm taking this June.

I think I want the model with the needle and not just a light you can find them on that site too.

I think the flat one will fit right on the front of the instrument cluster.

Let me know how they turn out when you get them mounted. Are you worried that the replacement oil drain plug might be weak and prone to being broken by a rock? Or does it look solid?

I never thought about it getting broken as I won't do any serious off road. The most I will do is dirt roads and the rider on the back doesn't like gravel either. LOL

I am going to the dealer to find out what size the plug is. I will let you all know in a couple of days.

No I haven't installed the temp gauge yet I will but seem to have too many other tasks to accomplish and unfortunatley temp gauges are lower on the list right now.
