To anon, DaveS or any suspension guru:

Can a shorter rear shock (City X, shorter spring on stock Uly, Works, Ohlins, etc.) be used on a Uly to drop height approx. 1"?

If so, can the plushness of the stock Uly be retained more or less?

I have the Corbin low seat now & am still uncomfortable with it. Unfortunately, don't have the balance I once had. Been riden' 45 years continuously so I don't have returning rider syndrome. I just want my feet closer to the ground.

Thanks in advance for any advice & whatever flames this question causes.
John
