Anyone know how to disconnect the neutral switch, so the bike can be started with tranny in gear??

I've had the bike do a hiccup when letting the clutch out from a stop, and killing the motor in an intersection. Adds to the thrill factor of the ride, for sure.

It would be much safer if I could start the bike without having to go to neutral first.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding.. but you should be able to pull the clutch in and start it in gear??

From the Manual....

Buell motorcycles feature a starter interlock. Before starting the engine, all the following conditions must be met.

* Engine OFF/RUN switch on right handlebar control group must be in the ON position.
* Clutch lever must be applied (pulled-in) before starting motorcycle in gear. Note that it is not necessary to apply clutch lever before starting the vehicle in neutral.

Same here. In fact, the Buell doesn't even have a sidestand cut off feature. I love that because they are prone to get gunked up and fail.

Mine starts in gear as well (not that I've ever stalled it unexpectedly)... Of course that is with the clutch pulled in!

Mine won't start unless it's in neutral even w/ the clutch pulled in. I've had the same problem stalling in traffic and needing to get into neutral to get started again.

If there's a way to bypass the neutral sensor, I'd sure like to know it.

Uh, yeah Frank, the clutch is that lever on the left handlebar.

Sounds like your clutch switch is kaput. Take it to the dealer for a fix.
