My GF's a tidy-aholic and has "put away" the hardware etc that came with the kit, can someone post a pic of what you get so I can hunt through my 4 boxes of computer cabling etc to find the f%$king thing! |

Hey Brat Its two cords hooked together in the middle that are a total of about 8-9 feet long. Where they hook together, there is a tiny box, not much bigger than the hookups themselves. They came hooked together and should stay hooked together. On one end of the "doubled" cord is a rs 232 port thingy. This has 9 prongs on it (can't remember if its male or female). The other side of the "doubled" cord is a smaller 4 prong thingy that fits into the diagnostic port of your bike. It's located under the lowest part of your seat, left side of bike...kinda near the rear suspension adjust nob. Hope this helps! By the way I was having trouble using mine a couple of weekends ago and it all boiled down to using a rs 232 to a USB converter that sucked ass! Two of them didn't work... Belkin and Radio shack... don't buy them... Get the Keyspan that they reccomend, or even better, get a computer that has this dedicated rs 232 port on it so no converter needed. I spent a whole day trying to figure this out and unfortunately had to drive nearly 3 hours to our surrounding towns (I live in the Idaho boonies) to purchase these expensive (and shi++y) converters. I also spent over an hour on the phone with Al from American Sportbike who was oh so patient with me as we tried to figure out what was going on...Thanx Al! I eventually got a different computer here and got it all figured out and went on my trip through Utah! YEEEHAWWW! |

Why can you say ASS, but not shi++y without censure? |

Brat, I have need of one of those things, the Uly has never run as good as it did before they did the tps reset at the first service, and the Lightning needs an AFV reset. The local wants me to "book the bike in" for a friggin AFV reset that takes 2 minutes! Yeah sure. $70 bucks later and all day waiting.... If you are willing to help can you PM me? If not it's OK, I have both bikes running. |
