Hey Brat, Did you really need anyone to tell you that? You would not have bought a Uly if you were just one of the crowd. I knew this bike was exceptional, guess I am a bit excited, But sad that it has hit the main stream so quickly. Hey Brat, Good point, love your site...... nice legs hee! hee! Bugger, they featured a Orange Uly again, Dragon will be straight onto to that.  Good write up though. Hope your having fun out there, we have a wedding this weekend both the XB12S and Uly are invited guests as they will be part of the Bridal photo's.  I wonder if this is the first wedding a Uly has been to. | ||

Yep, thanks....I think....I get called chicken legs a lot! Handy for a rock climber though, mind you I've managed to break bones in both hands in the last 12 months so I'm battling to climb a scaffold at the moment!  | ||

Brat Nice photos. I am not sure about the legs though (trust me, I will not be loading any photos of mine in the future. I dont even do sit ups because it gets me too close to em). Tell me about those lights. Did you mount those in the existing holes in the dash. I keep looking at those thinkin thats the place. What kind of lights and where from. Thanks.  Here's a close-up! They're autopal units, not sure where you'd get them in the US. They're standard sort of units mounted through the headlight adjustment hole in the fairing, wired to work on high beam, aka daylight! I'm not that rapt in my legs either, I smashed my kneecaps 25 years ago when a scaffold collapsed then cut up my left knee when I hit a milk tanker on a harley 20 years ago, resultant muscle waste makes them even skinnier, I'm entitled to a disabled parking sticker, but there's no disabled parking at the local climbing gym so there's no point! The ferry is across Port Phillip Bay south of Melbourne Victoria, it's reasonably protected water, the seas aren't that rough usually so they just let them stand there, I was a bit worried about just leaving her like that! | ||

PS the best thing about where they are mounted is you can lean down and adjust them on the go, handy if you're trying to find a house number or in the bush if it's kangaroo territory! | ||

The 'roos aren't bad, except for a nasty habit of waiting until you get nearly level with them and they leap sideways in front of you, they can stand taller than a man so the damage is significant! The Wombats can be worse if you can't avoid them, nuggety little critters that can wipe out a car/truck/bikes front end, luckily they don't move very quickly! I've updated my own info on the http://buell.brat.info site as well! | ||

Roo's not too bad, particularly minced with a bit of mutton, wallaby is better, both low fat/high protein, a bit like horse! I wouldn't want to land on one, they fight by balancing on their tail and ripping the guts out of their opponents with their hind legs! We've got an Emu (like a Ostrich) and a Kangaroo (like a.....well nothing really, maybe a 7' mouse that stands on it's hind legs and uses it's tail for balance, as i said??) on our national coat of arms, there's a few pubs etc here that offer the combination on the menu as "our coat of arms" | ||

Yeah... Call me a weird Patriot, but I just can not seem to bring myself to eat our "Coat Of Arms" just goes against the grain. Lizard, witchety grubs, croc, etc no worries just not Kangaroo and Emu. | ||

I was at the 8th Australian HOG rally in Launceston, Tasmania in 1997, and one evening, the meat course at dinner was "game". Afterwards, they told us that the Game was wallaby. It was different. I'm not sure if I'd want to eat it on a regular basis, but it wasn't bad. | ||

The driving lights came in handy yesterday, went for a ride in the Alpine Region of Victoria, quite a few dirt roads, it was dark on the way home and the normal light were dirty!  The roads were very corrugated and they Uly handled it better than our SUV, it was amazing how well she soaked up the bumps  the only heart in the mouth moment was when we hit a muddy washout that ran diagonally across the road and threatened to tram line us! PS does anyone know how to rotate a .mov file, my girlfriend held the camera on it's side while filming us? | ||
