I have enjoyed the uly but miss the cruisers, and now ive got my dr 650 on the road so im good to go on all surfaces. I wanted to say thanks to everybody on here, its a great forum with lots of info. So thanks and have fun and ride safe.

Wow, your dealer is one lucky outfit.

Street Bob is cool as hell, though. Good luck!

how much trade value are you getting? Other way to word this: How bad a hit are you taking on the Uli?

With the amount that they are going to give me and the deal they are giving me on the street bob i would say that i am out the sales tax and the bags. Of course whenever you trade a vehicle in you will always loose money, but i didnt take there first offer and made it clear if they want my buisiness in the future that they needed to come back with something better. All in all i am happy, i will miss the uly but as they say you cant always get EVERYTHING you want. I definatley think down the road that i will get another buell. Hey dave i hope that we can get off road and do some dual sporting also. I will keep in touch.

The Street Bob will be mine too, in spite of the dumb name. I'm going to wait another year until I can have it and my Uly.

I'm not an HD guy, but I like the look of the Street Rod. Haven't seen a Street Bob, but I understand it is a little less aggressive that the Street Rod. I think the SR is the coolest HD made.

Test road the Street Bob before testing and promptly buying my Uly. Hated the Street Bob, NO ground clearance at all. Grinding round a roundabout on the muffler bracket was not my idea of fun .My previous bike was a 1200 Sportster, plenty of ground clearance there, so the Uly came over as a much better alternative for me, still, different strokes for different folks.

I actually test rode both the Street Rod & the Street Bob before deciding on the Uly, like I've said, I hated the Bob but the Rod wasn't a bad bike, just not worth the extra cash over and above the Uly in my opinion.

Hi Clayman,

The most important thing is to have a bike YOU are happy riding.

I love to ride our XB12S, but still have my 750 Nevada Moto Guzzi for those days when Opto does not want to ride his Uly and that works for us.

Ride on mate that's all that matters.

Take Care, Be Safe and Stay Upright!

The one thing i think i get tired of most in the motorcycle world is the " my bike is better than your bike" crap. You here it for harley guys about other riders then then the sport bike rders stick there nose in the air and say stuff like ill beat you in the twisties now weve got a new class to thumb there noses at the other people on the road, called adventure bikes. People ilove to ride and could care less about my bike beating your bike, yes i like to go fast but lets all grow up and get out of the sand box and quit being so damn competative and just have fun, ride and dont forget to wave at the guy riding what you think is the most ridiulous type of bike. You never know he may be thinking the same about you.----------Hey dave i will be picking my dr up in about 3 weeks, cant wait to get off road riping, got so great spots up here. Email me some picks of yours.
