I guess, I was silly the other nigh and set my gloves by the motor, and one melted on the pipe, so I tried to clean it off. Now they're sorta silver. | ||

Well, you could get them Jetcoated. Or, you could use this as an excuse to get a Micron exhaust setup.  | ||

Here is an eBay auction for a complete set. I can't speak to the advantages/disadvantages. I am a bone stock guy myself. Trojan has the Micron setup on his Trojan-Horse Uly. There is also the Force setup too. | ||

The gold will come back. Stainless steel turns gold when you heat it. i tiwll take a few cycles before it gets close to what it used to be. If it doesn't get close enough for you then polish the whole pipe and it will all change color back to gold again. | ||

My pipes will turn from silver to gold to brown. At brown I will use "Blue Away" to get back to the stock silver. After a couple of rides they turn gold and keep it for quite some time. | ||

The pipes on the Uly come with a coating, cause they are different than the pipes on my XB12S. P.S. Dang Keith, that has got to be the coolest tuber Buell I've ever seen, I like that motard look! I'll have to put that in rotation on my screen saver!! | ||
