I have been riding with this bag for two weeks now and thought somebody else might have a need to carry a laptop. It has a padded laptop case that fits inside and backpack straps underneath. I keep a FrogTog rain suit in there also. The bag fits nicely between the grab rails. It's empty in the pictures below, but it has a nice shape when full. Fieldsheer products are made in China, but I bought it from a small business here in Kansas City called motorcyclecloseouts.com

Rusty is a good guy, I have purchased from him over the net. Always good service. He will answer any questions you have too. |

Wow this looks great. I just got rid of my KLR650 when I bought the Uly. I kept a backpack on the cargo area of the Klr and have been missing the storage. I got the 3 piece hard bags with Uly but have decided they were to much for everyday. I will probably order one of these eventually. Thanks for sharing the info. |

That's a very cool setup, one question; is that a protective flap between the bungee and the seat? I've been looking for the hot bike briefcase setup for a while, it's just more fun riding the Uly to meetings. This bag compliments the lines. Thanks |

"is that a protective flap between the bungee and the seat?" Yes, these actually form the side pouches that hide the bungee cords when you zip them shut. It's a good set up. I tied the bungees together inside the bag so that they are short enough to use with the integral bungee hook receptacles under the seat. The bag is well made and looks sharp. There are D-rings that are not visible in the pictures, that would facilitate some soft saddle bags. |

What size laptop will it fit? I have a 17" Powerbook that I would love to be able to bring with me instead of my 12" but right now my tankbag will only fit the 12". |

I am calling the little padded sleeve that the computer fits in the 'case' for the sake of this discussion. Mine is a 15-inch diagonal Dell that measures approximately 12.25" x 10.25" x 1.5"(Thick). It fits in the case with a 1-inch thick stack of magazines, paper, etc...and has room left over. Throwing out the diagonal screen dimension, I think you could fit yours in the case if it is no larger than about 15" x 11" x 1.5"(thick). You would probably want to slide the computer case inside the tail bag length-wise (that is how I use mine). |

Ok, thanks. I don't know if that will fit then - I think mine is bigger than 15", but I'll measure it when I get back to my room... |

Well, I have a 17-inch flat panel display that is 14.75 x 12.5. I would be surprised if your laptop is bigger than my monitor, but I hope it works out for you. |

Hey Low Flyer, Thanks for sharing the pics! I have been looking for a way to carry a laptop on the Uly and Happy Trails also stocks this bag. Very cool and inexpensive to boot. |

Sure thing. I had been using the flat bungees and a cargo net stretched over my laptop case at one point. That was sucky. This is way better. I was going to buy a tank bag too, but I don't think I need it at this point. |

Lowflyer, thanks for all the info. I'm going to get the bag, it rocks. But I must recommend the Buell tank bag, I didn't think I needed it either, but Dave gave me a great price along w/ the hard bags, so... I use it all the time now, great build quality, all function. Oh, and it has the subtle cutout for the intake. |
