I picked up some S100 today while at the dealership (always wanted to try it) and started thinking about cleaning the bike. How do you wash it without getting water in the airbox? Seems like you might need to cover it with something. Ideas?

Well, if you take off the cover you'll notice the airbox intake holes are on the right side away from the cover screen. No worries about water getting in the airbox unless you practically submerge the whole bike.

It's funny how so many people seem to be overly concerned about that when all they have to do is look at the airbox without the cover on it to see that it's not a concern at all.

I've also ridden in a torrential downpour with no problems.

I've had the bike for a whopping two weeks, and hadn't had a chance to disassemble it yet. I assumed that a hole virtually sitting on top of the bike that is supposed to take in air shouldn't be blasted with a hose, or have water draining down into it for that matter.

I wasn't ragging on you. I've just seen several people express serious concerns about it and think it's funny.

It's really no problem unless you have modified the filter cover like some have.
