Help--after 5+ months of visiting this site I have finally come to the conclusion that Buell is not going to formally include the power upgrade(filter, ecm and pipe) that I was hoping would be offered like the other models. The local dealer has even confirmed that one is not going to be offered through the dealer network by Buell. As such, I have the following question: Pipe? Drummer or Special Ops? ECM? I have only heard of the Buell marketed unit here. Although I am sure another is selling an upgrade. Filter? K&N? or what is the brand that works best with the other setup. The bike is already great, I just want to get rid of the EPA sound and unleash whatever resides within the engine. I thought that I would ask this question, as it is nearing the 6 month mark since it hit the dealer and the comments here about the R&D that has been completed appear to be in the preceding direction --but which pipe/filter/ecm with which? |

I got 100 RWHP and 84 ft/lbs of torque using a Micron Exhaust, the American Sport Bike Open Airbox and K&N Filter. The Stock ECM has been re-mapped using Direct Link. Contact Al at American Sport Bike for prices and details. ... Terry |

Ive put the drummer on mine, right now i have the stock filter and ecm. The bike sounds alot better and more power, i have no dynos to prove it but it deffinatly had a bit more punch after the drummer was installed. I am wanting the race ecm and filter now mostly because if i can go faster than i want to. I paid 450 for my drummer with my stock can as trade in. I am very happy. |

The stainless steel drummer looks very nice and the dyno charts show alot more than stock. I am leaning more toward the drummer because of all the talk here regarding the sound and the customer service they apparently have. |

Everything you here is true, Kevin went out of his way, a real great guy. I dont know if you can bolt you chin faring to the ss, youll have to ask kevin. I really like the look of the ss as well. The stock one with the fatlet looks great, and i dont think the ss has the fatlet. When i get on the bike i can feal the exhaust on my leg, its real cool. The sound is the best ive heard on a buell |

I had just the Drummer on mine for about 500 miles, ran fine. I have since added the K&N and race ECM and have found it runs smoother below 2500 and feels stronger. It lifts the front wheel easier then before. The fan also runs a lot less, sometimes not even coming on when you shut it off, but I'm not sure if it's the race ECM, the recent 1000 mile service, or the Trojan carbon right side scoop I just installed. I did too many things at once to know for sure, but it sure runs good! |

I am running the standard Drummer right now and it sounds just right. Not too loud but not too quiet. Kevin is making a bracket now for the front chin fairing to be used with the Drummer SS. |

It looks like it will probably be the SS Drummer and ECM/K&N filter. How many have used the open air box setup that I have seen with American Sport Bike? Also, has anyone used the steering dampner they have as well? |
