Experienced driver, no tickets, no chargable accidents

GMAC 950 per year

Progressive 1250 per Year

Foremost 1450 per year

Liability is only 202 per year but full coverage is a killer.

Any thoughts?

Cross check rates with different bikes, like a Road King, a Buell M2, a Yamaha FZ1, a Kawasaki Concourse (sp?), a Honda Shadow VLX to see if it's regional or bike related. Those rates sound high, but I've heard that NC is a high insurance region for bikes. One shop's salesperson said that was "one" of the reasons they left.

We ran into the same thing. We have liability only for the M2 -- $180 year with Allstate. The Uly would be the same, however, full coverage would run us $1,100. Carlos ended up with Foremost at $808 each year with a $500 deductible. One thing with Foremost, they have you pay the entire premium within 6 months. We budgeted $65-$70 each month for the insurance, but our bill is $131. Luckily enough we only have 4 more payments and then we're free for another 6 months.

North Carolina is just an expensive state when it comes to insurance and the taxes on every bill you pay each month. I guess it's the price we pay to have access to the mountains or the beach within a few hours.

Good luck
Kristi
