I test rode a Uly a couple of months ago and decided I wanted to get one. I just need to save enough money. It was a good ride I was not able to touch the ground though so that was a little uncomfortable. I am 5'8" tall. Last night I went to the Racine WI Buell dealer and they had the low seat on. I could put the balls of both feet on the ground. I was happy. I just need to find some money now. I have also test rode a XB9 Lightning. I ride a 02 Sportster Custom right now.

I'm 5'8" and I've got the low seat on my Uly. I'm happy as can be with the bike. You're going to love it. Especially if you get an ORANGE one!

I don't feel sorry for you guys. You folks under 6 feet tall have a plethora of bikes to choose from. Especially sportbikes that a guy like me (6'5") couldn't fold up on without some sort of body altering surgery.

I'm loving my Ulysses. My 36" inseam is perfect for the bike. I can stand up and have an inch of air between my bum and the seat. It's the first bike I've ever owned that I didn't have to pop Advil to ride.

I wonder if Buell is going to make a "tall" seat. Seems like they are descriminating against us lanky folks. Can we have a 37" seat please? Another 2" of leg room would be SO nice. : ) LOL!

I read that and kept thinking...36"? Crap, I'll fit on that bike great.

Oh, inseam, not waist. Doh! : )

I just wish they made that seat with a slot for my family jewels like they do on my road bicycle. The boys need room to breath.

Kjb,
Could I interest you in a trip to Appleton?

Are you going to keep the Sporty or trade it?

Orange is better!
Seriously, I'm 5'10" and I like the stock seat for the riding position. I only have 70+ miles so far(dang winter in Illinois). You just have to plan a little when its time to stop......
The Uly is an awesome bike, my Firebolt will be lonely in the garage I think this summer!

Daves

I have been up to the dealer there before. I was not looking for a bike though, just out riding. I am tight on money and want to keep the sportster it is paid for. My fiancé is interested in learning to ride. She is working on her temps now. I don't think it would be worth trading the sportster. It is an 2002 but I have put on 82,400 miles on it. Not much trade in value there. Do you have a few in stock. I want to ride one with her as a passenger to see that she likes it.

No it is not. I will turn over 100,000 this summer.

Good for you riding the Sporty that much!

I do have bikes available for test rides so when the weather gets better give me a call and we can set up a time for you two to come up and demo a Uly!
