Santa brought me a Corbin seat for my Uly, and I was a little concerned about the fit since there were a few negative posts here. I am right handed and currently in a cast due to elbow surgery, but I still had to try the seat today. I took it out of the well padded box, placed it on the bike, smacked it 3 or 4 times at the rear to get it to latch (like my stock seat) and all is well. The triple tail is a little more difficult to work, but I did it without much hassle, and i'm sure it will get better as it breaks in. My bike is on a Kendon stand right now (waiting for my Drummer to arrive) so I cant tell about the lower height just yet. The cast comes off next week and I will write a rewiew when I can. |

My Corbin also contradicted some of the early input I had read, as it mounted the first time with a couple smacks on the seat and the triple tail (while slightly more pressure is required) tucked down against it and latched into place as it was delivered. FYI... It's the first Corbin seat I have bought out of the last three that did actually fit. Go figure. |

Corbins are strange like that. Some fit fine and others don't. It's like their casting system is not accurate. I've never had a Sargent seat that was anything but perfect, and the Sargents don't weigh a metric ton. |

Can anyone tell me where to get a Corbin seat for my Uly for less than full retail? Of course as it has been put they do weigh a ton so I may look for other options. I do like the way the Corbin looks on the XB12X. KS |

It's good looking for sure, but with what Corbin has been known to charge dealers for the shipping cost to them, I've still never run into any significant discounts on them. Literally, 20-50 buck below retail is all I've ever managed to save (mine was from Precision Cycle in Sarasota). But then again, it is really good looking! With that said, and just to jump on someone else's thought, does Sargent have one out for the Uly yet? Just wondering if there's another option for those still riding stock seats... |

I looked at Sargents site and did not find anything for the Uly. Had a Sargent on a BMW R1100rt and loved it. I have never owned a Corbin until now - did not like what I heard about their customer service and other business practices that I read about in local (NorCal) bike papers. I almost sent the stock seat to Rick Mayer in Redding CA- he does seats for anything and made me a great seat for my HD FXR. |
