Well it's Christmas Eve and my birthday, I rushed out to the garage and found that my ORANGE Uly did not have a new stable mate. Well on a positive note, at least it is still ORANGE! Maybe I will look again tomorrow on Christmas day. (Insert emoticon with crossed fingers!)
I am wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday. And remember it's just 86 more days until SPRING!

Happy B-day and happy holidays to you as well. If you want to be sure that Santa brings you something for the Uly, cover it with a black blanket.

T'was the night before Christmas, While out in the Shop,
Not a crankcase was leaking, Not even a drop.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
With hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The kids were tucked in, All snug in their beds,
While visions of mini-bikes roared through their heads.
My wife and i in our birthday clothes,
Had just settled in, For a peaceful doze.
When out in the yard, There arose such a rumbling,
Out of the waterbed, I came a stumbling.
Up to the window, I moved in a flash,
Knocked over the table lamp, With a crash.
And as I gazed out, Beyond the snow laden pools,
I spotted a sleigh pulled by six shiny Buells!
With a stout guy a Drive'n, So laid back, Yet quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
Faster than Lightening, His cycles they came,
And he whooped and he Hollered and called them by Name.
On Lightning! On Westwind, Battle Twin and Blast!
On Thunderbolt! On Cyclone, Move it fast!
Up to the rooftop, The Buell's they flew,
Sleigh full of toys, And St. Nick too!
And then in a moment, I heard them shut down,
Getting it together, I slowly turned round.
As I bent, And looked up, The chimney inside,
I saw St. Nick, Comin down on his hide.
He was dressed all in leather, From his head to his foot,
And his jacket was dusty, with ashes and soot.
A sack full of toys, He had dropped on the floor,
And I couldn.t believe, What there was to explore.
His Eyes! How they Glistened, His goggles so blurry,
His cheeks were all flushed, and he seemed in a hurry.
His hair , It was braided, and tucked out of his way,
And the beard on his chin was shaggy and gray.
He had a big head, and an oversized belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was tender and tattered, A rascally sort,
And I laughed, When I saw him, And let out a snort!
He spoke not a word, But went right to his work,
Filling the stockings, The turned with a smirk,
And otu that long finger, aside of his nose,
With a quick nod, Up the chimney he rose!
He hopped in the sleigh, The bikes started roaring,
Away they all flew, The whole bunch was soaring.
Then I heard him sing out, As he made a turn wide,
"Merry Chirstmas to all! And to all a Great Ride!!

Can't remember who wrote this......

Happy Holidays from Iraq...I want a black on but I would settle for any color right now, as long as it is NOT Tan, Sand, or any beigh type color!!!

I got a chance for about an hours worth of riding on the 24th., until I had to get ready for the In-Laws.

It was great but way too short.

My bags are in so I;m riding (hopefully) down on Friday for the install.

We've been getting up to about 50 degrees here in eastern Nebraska so I've been out breaking in the ULY. Finally bought a full coverage helmet and can't say that I care for wearing one. I'm sure that if my head slams the cement that I'll be better off. My complaint is the wind noise is worse, my side vision is not as good and it just feels plain weird wearing the damn thing. I always like to turn my head to make sure I'm safely changing lanes but now I have to actually crank my torso also to get the same view because the damned helmet blocks my side vision to a degree. Anyway the helmet may make me safer if my head wacks the pavement but it may cause the wreck in the first place the way I see it. The helmet was under 100 bucks but has both Snell and Dot certs.

Christmas Eve it rained. Christmas Day, it rained. Day after Christmas (which I had off work), it rained and was cold. Today, the Tuesday after Christmas, and my first day back at work. It's going to 62 degrees and sunny.

I've drawn my blinds so I can see out. : (

I have no right to complain. I could be in Iraq like Waorgany. I hope he knows how much myself and many others appreciate the sacrifice he's making and how many prayers we say for him and his fellow servicemen.

Keep up the good fight. Stay safe. Get back here and go on some rides with us!

Electra,

Regarding your helmet, I noticed you mentioned the DOT and Snell certs. Have you seen this article?
