I just picked up the service manual today and it is really well written. Really don't understand why it isn't hard bound. I'd of payed some extra for a hard bound edition. I like that it is ULY specific. My manual for my electraglide also is used by the Road King. It's pretty good but this ULY service manual is more user friendly.

Yes...it is a good manual. Lots of clear pictures and it has many procedures covered in more than one area of the manual to save you from referring back to other sections so often.

Well, let's see here...what you do is saw off the binding with an appropriate power-driven cutting tool of your choice (I use a bandsaw), then punch it all (or drill it) and put it is a big 3-ring (or 5-ring if you like) binder.

P.S. Yes, a very good manual and LOTS cheaper than my $140 (really!) Aprilia Mille manual.

Yep gotta have service and parts manuals for all my motorcycles. I have service and parts manuals for my Harley and they are well written also. I have an all-in-one copier, scanner, printer that I just copy the correct pages for what I'm doing that way I don't get the manuals dirty, greasy, destroyed etc.

That cut, punch and binder idea might need looking at. Would make copying easier.
cheers

That cut method makes me think about loading the entire manual in my fancy copier at work which scans into PDF format....even on double sided paper!

That would be awesome, then I could print the pages I needed or just refer to them on a laptop.

Hummmm.......
