Yesterday, I went to my local dealer and bought a new XB12X. I didn't buy from Daves for a few reasons. When I bought my new Harleys, they always treated me right. They had a competent Service Depart, and treated me as a valued customer. They earned my respect. When I bought my Buells, they didn't sell them, so I had to buy from a different dealership. I can't wait until May to ride my new bike. I'd have a nervous breakdown, or start foaming at the mouth, or just sit in a corner and quiver; especially once the winter starts to break around March. I also can't take the time off from work to ride the U.P. in May. My wife and I are planning to ride to Glacier Nat'l. Park next summer, and I only get so much vacation. Now for the apology. Dave, I used your promotion to get a better deal than they were originally offering. They matched it as far as the bike and accessories went. They couldn't offer me a Tour of the Factory, or an incredible ride, but I did get a free dinner with the Founder (and Grand Poobah) of the American Thunderbike Club, Jay Hawley and his lovely wife, Donna. Dave, if I ever win the Lottery, I promise I'll buy bikes from you; in the meantime, I feel that supporting a good local shop is the right thing to do. |

Dave, I used your promotion to get a better deal than they were originally offering. Damn, I wish I had thought of that. I got mine from the local dealer too. I thought it would be slimey to take a demo ride on their bike and then buy one from Dave. But my parts all come from Appleton! |

If you have a good local dealer, by all means support them. Congrats on the new bike Crusty! For the rest of you I will gladly take up the slack! |
