I'm not quite sure what exactly you are saying. From the sounds of it, you might need your TPS reset. How many miles on the bike? Any recent service? |

Make sure you are not giving it throttle when you start it. Keep your hand off the throttle grip when starting. Just hit the starter button. If this does not solve the problem, have your dealer check for a ECM or sensor reacting to temperature change or a leaking injector. Just some suggestions! |

Clayman I also suggest you follow Dragon Slayer's advice on the starting process. We have found that sometimes the engine temp sensor can be a player in this type of problem, but when they go bad most of the time the bike will not run well anytime. Have the dealer start at the basics Zero the TPS and reset the AFV first. We start the TPS at 5.8 deg, but find that sometimes we need to go as high as 6.0 to get a good idle speed. While he is there check for intake leaks. It is not uncommon to need intake seals every year or 4K miles on Sporsters and Buells. ... Terry |
