I'm interested. What's the catch? I have 2200 miles on the bike and the back tire has about 1000 miles left.

No catch . New tires. Mine has 3600 mies on it. The rear tire will go probably 4000 miles. I'm still working the details out.

Are the 616s any good? I've read they track rain groves, are prone to "swimming", and don't last long. Not something I want on my bike.

I don't have any plans on doing offroad work, but if I did, I'd be tempted to go with a Pirelli Scorpion. It has received rave reviews.

I'll be putting on pure sport touring tires when my 616s are gone. Either Pilot Roads or Diablo Stradas.

I have the extended warranty that covers tires.
I checked with my local dealer and the Pireli Scorpion Sync is standard oem tire on the City-X.
They said if I put those on the Uly it would still be covered under the warranty. This may be something to consider if you have the all-inclusive warranty.

The Stradas were great on my FJR. Stuck well, worked good in the wet, and wore like iron. Can't ask for more.
