I see that the D616 rear tire does not have a long lifespan and is gonna be toast soon and I was looking into replacement options.
It seems that the D616 is only available through a Buell dealer. My front is fine so I can either go with the stock rear again and maybe get 2500 miles out of it, but I thought I would see if anyone else has had good luck with a different rear and continued use of the D616F front?
I will be doing almost all road with maybe only gravel roads occasionally.
I was looking into the Avon azaro 45/46, Scorpion Syncs and Pilot Roads as other options.

I don't know how they'd work on a Uly, but I've got AV45/46 Avons on my M2 and I love them.

I had the Avon AV45/46 on a RSWarrior and they were really good. Handled well, and lasted a lot longer than the 020. The 020's were a little stickier though. I suspect the Pilot Roads and Scorpion Syncs will be sticky too and might not have the longevity of the Avons.

I am concerned about going with one of these in the rear and keeping the D616 up front. Anybody used this combo yet?

Since I'm not planning any off-road treks. I'm going to replace my Dunlops with either Pirelli Diablo Stradas or Michelin Pilot Roads. Both are great sport touring tires.

Thanks for the heads up on the Diablo Stradas.

Thunderbox - what kind of mileage did you get out of the Stradas on your M2?

I really don't know as I traded the M2 on a new Uly in August. Sorry I couldn't be of help.

No problem, I am sure they are great tires. I want to get a little more mileage out of mine. These D616 have lost 1.5mm of tread in 500 miles. At that rate, the rear will need to be replaced at 2200 miles. That is too short for me.
