I thought I'd copy my post from Advrider over here concerning the autographed windshields.

Got some news on the windshield front... The autographed windshields were set up as a dealer marketing tool, a deal closer so to speak. The dealer had to reserve however many windshields they wanted, based on how many bikes they expected to sell. Then the windshields were claimed when deposits were put down. So it is entirely possible that windshields could be going out for bikes with November delivery dates if the dealer reserved a lot and has deposits for those bikes. This was told to me by someone from H-D marketing that called me to apologize for the way my dealer handled the situation. Evidently my dealer never actually enrolled in the program. So the guy that bought the bike from them in July probably doesn't know about the windshield either. Anyways hope that clears it up.

Cheers
Brett

Yeah sort of the same deal with me. I bought one of the first in the country and definitely in the SF Bay Area. My dealer didn't reserve any and I wasn't told about it either. I learned about it here and by that time it was too late....

I am a little buggered about the whole thing.
I feel I deserved one and was ripped off....

You had to have a VIN or an order number for the bike and a deposit complete with the name and info on the buyer before you could reserve one for that buyer.
That way a dealer couldn't reserve more windshields than they had bikes coming.
If you reserved one in someones name and they didn't get the bike, verified by the sales/warranty registration, the dealer was charged 250.00

I don't think the dealer would've had order numbers for Nov bikes in time to reserve any windshields for them before the 100 were all spoken for.

I am sorry you guys didn't get one, it sounds like you should have.
I was only able to get 6 out of 7 for my customers.
I have 2 of my Nov bikes sold but the windshields are already gone.
