Hey guys,
anyone know if the flip leaver type (Vista/N.E.P.) cruise controls work on the Uly - and if so, which one fits best?

Cheers
-Jack

Hi Jack, I had one on my S2 that velcro'd on. It did an Elvis (left the building) somewhere going down a freeway. <g>

I hate freeway droning, but it happens occasionally. As heretical as this may sound an electronic cruise control would be an option I would purchase if it were available at a reasonable price.

But I wouldn't try the velcro type unit again.

Regards,

Jim in Santa Barbara

I have a vista cruise lever type on my tube-frame S3T. It clamps to the bar between the front brake master cylinder and the grip and uses a lever-clamp on a nice metal ring that attaches to the grip against the inside edge where your thumb and forefinger rest. I've used these on all my bikes except for the RG that has REAL cruise!
The vista cruise works very well, is fully adjustable, and will fit nearly any bike. Just unbolt the master-cyl/frontbrake lever and slide it over just enough for the thin vista bar clamp and the rest is just as simple.
I have seen cheap all plastic versions that are crap so beware and make sure you get the good one with the metal ring and lever clamp and thin bar clamp. The bar clamp may be plastic as mine is but that part doesn't move so it doesn't wear out.

I would also be interrested in a full automatic electronic cruise if the price was workable for my budget. Unfortunately though tires must come first.......

I used the basic model on my X1:

No velcro though, just drill and small hole through the plastic switch housing and attach it with a small bolt/nut. It has worked fine now for over three years.
Hard to see but here's a pic:

Throttlemeister. You'll probably have to give up your handguards, but the Throttlemeister is a quality piece.

I have them on 3 of the 4 bikes in my garage.
