I picked up my Ulysses three weeks ago.
I leave for Daytona Biketoberfest to work Buell Demos in two weeks 10/17.
My dealers says the Side bag and top case kit is on order and is vendor direct.
Is there anyway to check when the kit will come in?

Are the saddlebags themselves quick release or are they bolted on? I understand the mounts are but I haven't seen any up close yet to see how they remove from the mounts.

They are keyed quick release. A really nice design.

Hey, take the chainsaw and saw off that license plate holder thing to see how that would look.

Java,
That license plate holder covers up a lot of the bag bracketry. I think I would be sorry if I took the chainsaw out.

Two_Buells, you'd skin those nice bags up anyways riding on your ear like that!
Hows that Uly stack up against your S1 at the Battletrax?
Also I ordered some side bags for my bike [on line] and got the reply: vendor direct item allow 37 days for delivery! Ouch. My dealer didn't have them in stock anyway.

Be patient . . the wait shouldn't be that long. Buell took a bit of a hit as a result of the Europeans taking the entire month of August as "holiday" (ya gotta love'em!)

The couple hundred sets that were available were distributed under the most (priority given to owned/ridden bikes)equitable method.

Catch up should be fairly painless and the demand>supply a short-term deal.

I'll post updates from time to time if you'd like.

Bosh,
I posted on the BatttleTrax and Uly thread that I think I'm faster on the Uly than the S1.
Than again some of the Pa BattleTrax regulars said they haven't seen me ride so fast in a long time. Must be the excitement of the new bike....
