Author Message   Dr_greg Posted on Thursday, September 29, 2005 - 02:01 pm:        Local dealer (Chick's HD-Buell in Albuquerque, NM) finally made me an offer I couldn't refuse (Chick is very generous); I'm buying the demo bike (I know, but just couldn't swing the deal any other way) w/bags thrown in, and an absolutely KILLER trade-in on my 9R and a modified Blast I used to race. I loved my '03 9R (just took a 500-mile ride through the mountains of NM and CO Sunday), but at my advanced age (well, 58) I figured it was time for a comfy bike. I can't believe it...I'm actually getting a Ulysses! I pick it up tomorrow. First thing I'm going to do is duplicate the aforementioned 500-mile ride...but this time in a little more comfort! I bought a Chick's demo one time, they're well taken care-of because Chick rides them too. And Greg--I got mine, too; '96 S2T. I don't really want to go public with my deal since you might be dealing with some different personnel and I don't want to mislead anyone. All the tech guys ride Buells---it feels good. Look for Bartimus in the New Mexico section of "Storm Fronts". I was in the Air Force at Kirtland in the 80s' and beginning of the 90's and was always well received. I hope you enjoy your Uly... I have had mine since the middle of August and absolutely love it. I have 5 other street bikes and the Uly is always a first choice.
