The range of the bike is 198.3 miles. This was determined experientially, BTW. I can't seem to get anywhere near the epa claimed 51/65. I get around 43 to 46. 745 miles on the bike so far. Course, this was riding very easy with the break-in and all. My friend's XB12 started off with less economy than my X1 but now that he has 12000 on it, he ALWAYS gets more than me (the bastard). When we're doing back roads at "moderate" speed, he routinely gets just over 60MPG and I get around 52MPG.
