Hey guys,
Not new to riding, but new to this site, and new to the Buell brand of bikes.

Had my radar pinned on the XB12X back since I first heard the rumours of its release (increased wheel base and larger fuel capacity); saw one, test rode one, want one

Just off loaded one of my bikes to make room, and am ready to do the deal.

Two remaining issues I have. First; where to buy the bike? I’m in SoCal area. California HD only had one, which they’ve already sold, and they’re not expecting to get another until “sometime late September”. Bartells said they had a couple in Barricade Orange, but didn’t seem too interested in wanting to deal from the MSRP OTD price. I spoke to Ernie at Glendale HD a couple of weeks ago, before I had the cash and before he went on vacation. He seemed interested in my business, offering discount on luggage. Unfortunately, he’s still out on vacation, and I can’t seem to get a solid answer (via phone) on their current inventory.

Can anyone recommend any other HD/Buell dealer in the SoCal area that - a) have the bike in stock, b) willing to offer some incentive? – I am ready to buy now!

And secondly, I still keep going back and forth on colour choice – any good arguments for either?

Looking forward to getting and riding the bike, so much so that, in anticipation, I’ve already built the website for it

Hoping to meet up with some of the folks on this board, who live in my neck of the woods, to do some riding...

Great website – keep up the good work

Cheers
-Jack

We just kicked Ferris off on his FBRAT tour on my Orange X and it looks great. DaveS is riding a black demo and Ferris prefers black. Swapping colors is relatively inexpensive ~400. Get one and change to your hearts content. Think someone has already done this and posted pics.

I've ordered black. I haven't seen the orange in person yet. I will see one two days before mine comes in. I like the seat contrast on the orange bike but I think I would get tired of it after a while. I think the $400 to swap colors is for the airbox cover and wind fairing. Swaping out the seat would probably push that up about $200.

Welcome to BWB. Glad you like the bike.

I think you're going to have a hard time getting too much of a discount on the bike when dealers can't meet demand. But hey, it never hurts to try.

Hey Rhinowerx...try Quaids in Loma Linda if your looking for price....909-796-8399....I recently hooked up a friend at Skip Fordyce of Riverside for an XB12R and they gave him a KILLER deal also...951-785-0100...Personally I like the orange more than black but then I like Dark Yellow on bikes also.
