I WAS going to pick up my Uly on Fri but my dealer called me and asked if I could wait until Sat afternoon so he can have people see it during their Open House. Since I'm a big supporter of the brand I said, Yes
Oh btw my dealer ordered my Limited Edition Ulysses Signature Windscreen b-4 I even knew about them.......kudos to Lancaster Buell!

During my lunch break today I went over to where they store the Press Fleet (at the York H-D Plant) to drool over the Uly they have there. Man, I can't wait till Sat.......

Bigdaddy-thanks for the offer but I will wait my turn. Just let me know when you go to pick yours up. I would love to see it. BTW, where in the h is Pumpkin Center? I am glad to see so much demand for the new ride. How many have been shipped so far?
Have the big boys figured out that they had better
rev up their production capacity to meet the explosion of worldwide demand there will be for this bike. Kinda exciting. I'm happy for them.
They've hit a home run over the fence.

"..there is going to be some engine produced frame motion..."

An eloquent turn of phrase. Okay, this is how we can dispell the myth that Buell's vibrate. We edit the above statement to read:

"There is going to be some frame motion when the bike is at rest, but that quickly disappears with any forward movement."

And we say that frequently in casual discussions. By eliminating the use of the words "vibration" and "engine", potential buyers/new riders will not feel the need to demonstrate their awareness of this particular "shortcoming" as they mooch a demo. They will simply relax and enjoy the ride.

My Uly vibrates much less than my M2 at idle.

Then you best take it back and have your dealer diagnose the problem before something serious goes wrong. Always best to not let such warning signs go unheeded.

Well, I went to Charlotte last night and checked out the Ulysses they had. It was already sold so I couldn't test ride. It is very tall and I could barely reach the ground. I'll definitely need the low seat and want to see if the frame can be lowered a half inch or so also. I left a deposit but they said they did not expect to have one for me for sure until January. Bums me out a little but at least they should have a low seat by then and I'll have a little time to scrape up some more
cash. I'll need an electric vest for the long ride home in the snow.

Sorry Java... I picked it up Saturday. They mentioned someone had been there to check it out. I put down the deposit early when I saw the direction that supply vs. demand was going on this bike. I'll be posting my impressions to date shortly. But can tell you that I am already grinning a lot and can not wait to get past that first service interval...

Good for you. Scott told me you had been waiting since August. It is a great bike. I was looking at all the hex bolts and fasteners and thinking about all the stuff I was planning to do to mine.
Your profile says you ride the 276. Next time you are in the wild wild western end of the state
contact me at 828-712-1678. I'd like to see the new baby. Then again if you hate it I could help you find it a new home.
