Just picked up a real nice triple tail jell pack backrest. Fits on over the triple tail and has a fairly thick jell that is a nice rest. Embroidered logo says "Buell XB12X" on it in silver black and orange. | ||

When are they coming out with the replacement fender for those less apt to go offroading. Something nice that can be painted would be awsum. And while they are at it do a really nice line of replacement windscreens at various heights and color shades. (Message edited by thunderbox on September 01, 2005) | ||

Does anyone know yet what accessories are available for the Uly? I have seen the bags, triple tail cover, tankbag, what else? How about a slightly taller windshield, heated grips, rubber footpegs. Is the airbox cover the same as all the XB's as far as the tankbag and brushed belt buckle cover fitting? Is the air filter the same so a K&N can be added so you can clean it after dusty trail riding? Did I read some where about a centerstand? (would be great for tire repair on the trail) Does the tail trunk require another bracket or does it mount to the triple tail, if another bracket is needed does it remove easily? Any other accessories? | ||

We will be developing a range of parts for the Uly very soon (We are getting ours delivered on Friday and already have a pile of parts to try in the workshop  ). The K&N from the other models will fit. (Message edited by trojan on September 07, 2005) | ||

One of the parts that we are working on is taller and tinted screens. Traction pegs from the previous models would fit I think? | ||

I believe the factory will come out with heated grips, GPS, lower seat and a taller windshield. Henrik | ||

Since the factory doesn't have the stuff available, and can't tell us when it's coming, I'm going aftermarket before the season is gone. I'll probably send the seat to Rich's or one of the good seat guys. Maybe order some heated grips from Aerostich. M | ||

M, The seat is scheduled to be available in the next couple of weeks. Court already provided the part numbers on another thread. According to the Buell chat session late last month there is no scheduled release for the taller windshield. Haven't seen anything on the grips. | ||

I've gone thru our entire product list and figured out which of the existing products are applicable to the new bikes. The Uly and XBSS areas are up on the web site under the Buell here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=store&sub_pg=splash I've started on some parts already. I have every intention of releasing a more conventional front fender (but bigger than a Lightning/firebolt), A full frame mount fairing with a taller windscreen, a better looking rear fender, and a host of other things that I think will help the bike be a better sport tourer with more street and slightly less dirt emphasis. My bike is supposed to go to Corbin next week to get a low seat developed. Just don't go asking me when they'll be ready. I've started some, I've bought pieces for starting others, and we'll move thru them as fast as we can. But most product development happens after 7PM or on weekends, too busy running the store to get them done during the week. Al | ||
