Buell rally in NM last weekend; highlight was Saturday ride up AZ hwy 191 (the "dragon" of the southwest). Fearless leader (Ulysses-mounted) did a lowside on a nasty downhill decreasing-radius righthander. Neither he nor bike seriously damaged. The thing that impressed me was how amazingly TOUGH those side bags are!! Left bag was scraped, but didn't come off, wasn't dented, etc. Like Reg Kitrelle said in his early article; the Ulysses seems to suffer only mild cosmetic damage in crashes that would render other bikes a writeoff.
