The mods may want to move this to the photo area, but I thought this would be the best place to perhaps satisfy some curiosity regarding aspects of the Ulysses. These were taken shortly after I unloaded it from the trailer and took it for a short ride. It rained on us coming home so there are a few water spots, but otherwise this is as clean as this bike is likely to be.... Here is a view of the rear... A view of the fork guard and headers.... This may be my new desktop background... (Message edited by eor on August 22, 2005) |

The shock from the right side... The underseat storage area, which is actually large enough to store a few things... The underseat power outlet....

Very nice. Your making me want one more by this. Now, black or orange. Hard decision. I've been the orange at the factory and at a dealer. Gotta see the black. |

Great shots! Sweet bike! Anyone out there got any detailed pics of the Uly with the hardbag option withOUT bags mounted? |

I would like to see the bike with the mounting hardware but without the bags as well. I also want to see some detailed shots with the bags installed. Let's see inside the bags as well. EOR many thanks for these pics. They are very good. |

Eor, Thanks for the photos and info. I've been enjoying reading your posts- it seems at one point that you'd talked yourself out of getting a Uly- until you SAW one. Sounds like you are really happy with it. |

I went through a process of elimination with the competition and the Uly test ride sealed the deal. I loved my XB9SL and CityX but the knee bend issue would always get to me eventually. I had to have something a little more comfortable to ride, but still wanted something sporty. |

Interesting muffler exit...curved in to fit tighter to the bike with a heat shield? |

Interesting to note how they set the ECM in there. Could I trouble you for a shot of the new dipstick/oil filler location? |

The location is cool, look at that first picture, imagine the rear shock spring as the center of a clock, and look at 8 o-clock. That's it. |

Having already done my first oil change, I can tell you that while the location is an improvement, it still sucks to put oil in it without a long funnel. The shock adjustment knob gets in the way of getting the oil bottle up in there tight. Doing it while on the road is likely to have you scrounging for a clean piece of cardboard to fold. Al |
