I got back to work yesterday, I know, I wasn't due back til after 10 am today.
I wanted to get a head start on the hell that is "coming back from vacation"
Ernie, my up and coming Buell tech got one that is not sold set up so at 7 pm last night(we close at 6) I took it for a little ride.
First thing I did was ride it across the yard and jumped the curb with it!
The bike is VERY comfy.
Lots of room and a great seat.
Very upright riding position
Suspension is nice and smooth, even over bumps, I was looking for every bump or hole in the road to run over.
Only rode it for about 10 miles, I had more work to do.
Nice bike!
I'm going to let the BRAG members test ride it tonight.

Daves,

When are you getting more Ulys in? I still have a friend who is searching frantically to buy one.

Daves,

I am going for a ride Saturday and Sunday, North of Greenbay, and thought I would stop in to look at the new bikes. When are your guys open on Saturday? Since I am short of a dealer in my area, my in-laws live about 2 hours north of Appleton, so I wanted to check out the place while I was up for the weekend.

Let me know
Thanks

I'll be there Sat 8-4
Would love to have you stop in.
Let me know about what time as I have to go to GB and pick up a customer at the airport in the morning. I should be back by 10:30
We will then be doing paperwork and suspension settings but you could take a nice long demo ride during that time!

Hey Daves,
That would not be the Black one would it? We might have to work on the price. I sat on one at my local dealer today. It is tall but I do like the bike. I am off to Pa. tonight and will be test riding one on Friday. I will let you know if I like the ride.

P.S. How many hours is it to you from Long Island?

I have a black one for you. Not the demo one unless you want a deal on it instead?

I hope it will fit in the saddlebags. With gas prices up, I'm riding everywhere (like I needed an excuse). Now if I could only figure out how to fit snow tires on the Buell for this winter: D

Thanks for the Demo ride Daves. It is a great bike, now I only need to convince the wife. ...and grow an inch or two.

After testing the bikes we ended up putting another 300 miles on over the weekend, and I wish I had the seat of the Uly. The bug was really planted in Deon, it was all he was talking about the rest of the weekend.

On another note...

I have a feeling my trans is going south since Sunday afternoon. Not too bad just shifting into 2nd is getting harder and I had it come out of gear a couple of times also. I still have a month or so left on the Warranty, if the dealer here goes to fix it can the '06 parts be put in?

I would like it to shift better but I don't mind the clutch pull.

Thanks again

It was great meeting you guys as well!

Not sure if they can put the new parts in or not under warranty?

Have you checked your primary chain?
